Dashboard View

The Dashboard provides a quick insight into key system optics.

To locate the Dashboard View:

1. Login into Faronics Deploy and navigate to the Control Grid.

2. Select the Dashboard tab.

There following can be viewed from the Dashboard View:

General Overview

Grid Name

Description

Computers Online

Displays the total number of computers online and displays it as a percentage of total computers.

Apps with Pending Updates

Displays the number of applications that have pending updates, the number of applications that are up to date, and the total number of installed applications.

Computers with Pending Windows Updates

Displays the number of computers that have pending updates, the number of computers that are up to date, and the total number of computers.

Computers Last Seen

Displays the number of days ago that all computers were last seen in a pie chart. Hover over the different colored sections of the chart to see the number of days and computers. The link in the top right corner of the grid opens the Deploy Diagnostics View; this provides a list of all Windows and all macOS computers together with the following details: Policy, Group, Tags, Last Seen, Deploy Agent version, OS Deployment (Windows Only), Analytics (Windows Only).

Computers Usage

Provides an insight into how many users you have by week, month, and year. The link on the top right corner opens the Usage Reports View detailing the total usage time, number of users, number of logins per computer. This can be exported to a report (CSV format).

Top Applications Installed

Provides information on the top applications installed: Software Name, Publisher, and the number of Computers installed on. The link in the top right corner opens the Installed Applications View in Analytics and provides a more detailed insight into all applications installed per computer.

Top 5 Utilized Applications

Provides information on the top 5 used applications installed: Application Name, Duration, and the number of Computers it is installed on. The results can be ordered by Duration or Computer count. The link on the top right corner opens the Applications Usage view in Analytics and provides further insight into all applications and their usage.

Protection Status

Provides insight into the number of protected and unprotected computers in the system. Hovering over the different colors in the chart displays the protection status (protected/unprotected) and the number of computers it applies to. The link on the top right corner opens the Protection Status View in Anti-Virus Reports which provides further insight into the computers and their virus protection. This can be exported to a report (CSV format).

Definition Status

Provides insight into the number of computers with updated and outdated virus definitions in the system. Hovering over the different colors in the chart displays the definition status (updated/outdated) and the number of computers it applies to. The link on the top right corner opens the Definition Status View in Anti-Virus Reports which provides further insight into the computers and their virus definition statuses.

This can be exported to a report (CSV format).

Threat Detection History

The link on the top right corner opens the Threats by Number of Detections View in Anti-Virus Reports providing further insight into the threats detected. This can be exported to a report (CSV format).

Frequently Detected Threat

The link on the top right corner opens the Threats by Number of Detections View in Anti-Virus Reports providing further insight into the threats detected. This can be exported to a report (CSV format).

Frequently Infected Machines

The link on the top right corner opens the Threats by Number of Detections View in Anti-Virus Reports providing further insight into the threats detected. This can be exported to a report (CSV format).

Provides a summary of User Logins to the system, providing the user name, user privilege type, and last login date. The link in the top right corner of the grid opens a more detailed report of the User Summary in the and the ability to access the ACTION TOOLBAR to edit the User(s) details and privileges, disable an account, send an invite email, send password reset email, clone user, and delete user.

Displays the names of the different operating systems being used, and how many computers on each OS is running. The link in the top right corner of the grid opens the , which provides a more detailed inventory of all the computers connected to Deploy and provides the following details: Computer Name, Policy, Group, Tags, Notes, Current User, Operating System, IP Address, Public IP Address, Mac Address, Apps with Pending Updates, Warranty Start, Warranty End, Warranty Term.

Provides a count of the applications that are updated and outdated applications. Hovering over the different colored sections displays a count for updated/outdated applications. The link in the top right corner of the grid opens the in the Control Grid; this displays four grids detailing the status of applications on Windows and macOS, Windows updates, and failed Windows updates.

Provides a count of the number of computers that are assigned to each Policy. Hovering over the different colored sections displays the Policy name and the number of computers assigned to it. The link in the top right corner of the grid opens the ; this displays the Policies associated with the Windows and macOS computers.

Provides the update status of all Windows computers: Vulnerable, Highly Vulnerable, and Up-to-date. Hovering over the different colored sections displays a count for each status together with the status name. The link in the top right corner opens the ; this has three grids that display Computers Pending Windows Updates, a list of Windows Updates available, and Failed Windows Updates.

Provides information on missing Windows patches: Patch Name, Patch Type, and number of Computers missing the patch. Hovering over the bars in the chart will display the name of the missing Windows patch and a count of how many computers do not have it installed. The link in the top right corner opens the ; this has three grids that display Computers Pending Windows Updates, a list of Windows Updates available, and Failed Windows Updates.

Provides information on Windows patches that are waiting for approval: Patch Name, Patch Type, and number of Computers that are missing the patch. Hovering over the bars in the chart will display the Windows patch's name and a count of how many computers are awaiting approval. The link in the top right corner opens the ; this has three grids that display Computers Pending Windows Updates, a list of Windows Updates available, and Failed Windows Updates.

Provides an insight into the percentage of disk usage and the number of computers for each usage percentage range. Hovering over the bars in the chart will display the usage percentage range together with the number of computers in that range. The graph can be viewed by system drives or all drives (this will include all drives on the computer and the system drive). The link on the top right corner opens the in the Control Grid. It provides a more detailed insight into each computer and its utilization together with other metrics.

Provides details of the manufacturers of the computers that have the Deploy Agent installed on them. Hovering over the different colors in the chart displays the computer manufacturer's name and the number of computers of that brand in the system. The link on the top right corner opens the , which provides further insight into the computers and their hardware in the system.

Provides a bar chart that displays the amount of memory (in ranges, e.g., 2-4GB, 5-8GB, etc.) that computers have in the system. Hovering over the bars in the chart shows the memory range and the number of computers that fall into that range. The link on the top right corner opens the , which provides further insight into the computers and their hardware in the system.

Provides the names of the processors being used and the number of computers that have each processor. Hovering over the different colors in the chart displays the processor name and the number of computers of that brand that are in the system. The link on the top right corner opens the , which provides further insight into the computers and their hardware in the system.

Provides a bar chart that displays the number of hard disks that computers have in the system. Hovering over the bars in the chart shows hard disk count and the number of computers that have them. The link on the top right corner opens the in Control Grid providing further insight into the system's computers and hardware.
