# Manual Windows Updates Approval

Windows Updates can be manually approved and installed via the Windows Updates View in the Control Grid; they can be approved or denied based on Windows Update categories or individual Policies (alternatively, Windows Updates can be installed automatically, for further information, see [Automated Windows Updates Approval](/faronicsdeploy/automated-windows-update-approval.md)).
