Update Applications Using Policy Modes

Semi-Automatic Mode

Selecting the semi-automatic mode will ensure that all applications in the Deploy library will always stay up to date if they are installed on the computers. This can be customized to change the way a particular application updates. To do this, select the grid beside the application name to change from Automatic Install to Scheduled, Manual, or Version Freeze.

Manual Mode

In the manual mode, applications will only update if manually triggered from the Applications grid in the Deploy console.

Scheduled Mode

In the scheduled mode, all application updates occur only during the scheduled period. The schedule can be set in the General Settings of the Policy.

Version Freeze Mode

The version freeze mode freezes all application updates by default. To version freeze specific applications, select the manual, scheduled, or automatic mode and then check the boxes in the grid under the Version Freeze column beside the applications that need to be version frozen.
