# Add Computer(s) to a Group

Computers can be assigned to a group in a few different ways:

## Before you Start

The initial install of Faronics Deploy provides a **Default** group. If you haven't already created any groups, see [Create a Group](https://docs.faronics.com/faronicsdeploy/application-management/groups-configuration/create-a-group-1) for further information on how to do this.

Without creating groups, the only option will be to assign to the **Default** group, which is automatic anyway.
