This will allow you to deploy the agent silently through any RMM tool or Group Policy Software Publishing. To avoid any restart, create an empty policy (no services configured), and use this version of the MSI file instead.

  1. Click on 'Policies' along the top menu bar:

  2. Click on the ‘Add New Policy’ drop-down list, and select ‘Faronics Remote Windows’ as the policy type:

  3. Give the policy a name (ex. Blank), and click ‘Save’.

Note: for best results, please use computer-based policies rather than user-based policies.

Reboot Required for Installing Faronics Remote

Once you have the agent installed, apply the 'Faronics Remote Default' policy to the computers when ready to install the remote access component.

  1. Navigate to the ‘Computers’ page along the top menu bar:

  2. Select the computers to apply the ‘Faronics Remote Default’ policy to:

  3. Under the ‘Assign Policy’ drop-down list, select the ‘Faronics Remote Default’ policy.

  4. You'll have an option to apply the policy the next time the computer checks in (usually within a minute), or schedule this to occur later on if the computer is potentially in use. This step will require a reboot to complete.
