Enabling VNC after Agent Installation

  1. Edit your existing Faronics Remote policy: You can click on the name of the policy listed under the 'Computers' page:

    or click on 'Policies' along the top menu bar and click on the name of your policy:

    This will bring you to the policies page where you will click on the name of your policy ‘Faronics Remote Default’.

  2. Click on the 'Remote' section of your policy, scroll to the bottom and click to enable VNC as a connection option, and set the password. This password can be a maximum of 8 characters.

  3. Click the 'Save' button near the top of the Policies screen and apply this policy to the computers. You'll have an option to apply the policy the next time the computer checks in (usually within a minute), or schedule this to occur later on if the computer is potentially in use.

This policy change will not require a reboot. Please wait 10 minutes before you attempt to connect to the computer through VNC to allow the background installation to complete.
