Changing the Class ID

While the Class ID is normally set during the install process, the Insight Teacher can specify a specific Class ID by launching the Insight console before starting a class session and entering the new value in the Class ID field.

Once a class session has started, the Teacher can change the active Class ID by clicking on the Class ID/Room drop-down in the Teacher Controls, entering the new Class ID, and clicking Go to Class.

While waiting for a class to start, Students can enter a Class ID to join a class that is already in session.

Once in a class session, Students can change the Class ID if the option to do so is configured in the Administrator Settings for the Student. When enabled, the class ID can be changed by clicking the Gear icon at the top right of the Insight Student application, entering the new Class ID, and clicking Go to Class.
