  • Maintenance Period Compatibility with Deep Freeze (for customers using Enterprise, Standard, and Cloud editions of Deep Freeze): All Deep Freeze Cloud Services such as Anti-Virus and Anti-Executable will switch into Maintenance Mode if Deep Freeze tasks such as Windows Update, Thawed Period, and Batch File are detected.

  • New Live Action: Run Maintenance Period: Allows administrators to run the Maintenance Period on the fly. Executing this live action applies the Policy settings under General Settings > Maintenance Period tab. Ensure a Maintenance Period is scheduled in the policy. Note that the Shutdown after maintenance period option in the Maintenance Period settings will be ignored if enabled.

  • New Report: Maintenance Period Status: Lists Maintenance Period tasks running on computers, along with their status (Successful or Failed). Clicking on the Status displays the specific actions that were performed on the computer during the Maintenance Period.

  • New Maintenance Setting: Shutdown after Maintenance Period: Allows administrators to automatically shut down computers after the Maintenance Period is completed.

  • Avoiding Deep Freeze Workstations Tasks vs. Maintenance Period Task conflict: Deep Freeze Workstation Tasks and Maintenance Period Tasks are prevented from having a conflict with each other. A message is shown to the user if there is a conflict and the timing must be changed to removing the conflict before saving the tasks.

  • Prevent conflicts between Maintenance Period Task and Deep Freeze Workstations Tasks: Maintenance Period Tasks and Deep Freeze Workstation Tasks are prevented from being scheduled at the same time. A message is displayed if there is a conflict and the task must be rescheduled prior to saving the policy. An error message is displayed on existing policies that already have such conflicts.

  • Software Deployment now available via the Ultimate bundle: The Software Deployment tab in the Software Updater policy interface allows administrators to deploy software packages across all computers managed by Software Updater (Ultimate edition). Specify your deployment package details within Usage Stats (Ultimate edition), which already has scanned information of Managed Software installed on your network (Usage Stats need only be installed on one computer that has the software package already installed). Follow 3 easy steps to add a package:

    • Navigate to Managed Software page under Usage Stats to create a software installer package.

    • Specify the package name, version info, install file location and other install parameters.

    • Select package in Software Deployment tab of Software Updater to install/update during the scheduled maintenance period.
