Device Assignment

Device Assignment provides variables that can be used to configure individual apps in specified devices. Add device-specific values by providing either the Wireless MAC Address or IMEI number. Specified variables will be displayed for individual app under Apps > Android > Manage Permissions & Configurations.

Adding Devices

You can add devices by specifying their Wireless MAC Address or IMEI number.

To add devices:

1. Click Add.

2. Enter the Wireless MAC Address or IMEI number (mandatory fields).

3. Enter other variables as needed.

4. Click Save.

Importing Device Assignment Data

You can import the Device Assignment data from a CSV file. The CSV must contain at least two columns with following two column headers:

• WiFiMAC / IMEI

• UserEmail

You can use WiFi MAC Address or IMEI number to assign devices to specific users. The CSV may also contain other data or variable (for example, UserID, Server, etc.). These will be imported as variables into the grid, and which you may later use to configure any apps that support Managed Configurations.

To import data from a CSV file, click Import. Choose the CSV file and click Import.

Adding Variable

To add Variables:

1. Click Add Variable.

2. Assign a Variable Name.

3. Select the Variable Type.

4. Click Add.
