# Transfer File/Folder to Students

Teachers can drag and drop documents, images, audio files, and video files to share or browse for files on Student computers.&#x20;

By default, transferred files are saved on the *Insight Files* folder on the C: drive.

1. Select the Student computers to transfer the file to.

2. Click *Share*.

3. Click *Transfer File to Students*.

4. Select *Open Files After Successful File Transfer*.

   If selected, the default application for the file type will be used to open the files on the selected Student computers after transfer is completed.

5. Select *Override Destination Path In Class Settings*.

   If selected, files will be saved in the destination folder specified below and not the folder specified under *File Transfer Location*.

6. Specify the destination folder on the Student computer.

7. Drag a file into the box or click the *Upload* button and select a file/folder to be sent.<br>

8. Click *Send*.

The file will be saved in the designated folder on the Student computers.
