# Disable Drives

Teachers can disable USB drives and optical disc drives.

Configuring settings for the *Disable Drives* function will automatically force Student computers to enter *Focus* mode after they have been applied to the class.

{% hint style="info" %}
Students that are in *Focus* mode will be displayed on the Teacher console with a red frame around the thumbnail.
{% endhint %}

Teachers can temporarily remove any restrictions on Student computers through the *Focus* button and selecting *Stop* next to the *Drives* option.
