# Stop Recording

Teachers can quickly end their recording by clicking the *Stop* button on the recorder, or clicking *Classrooms > Stop Recording* or *End Class*.

Recording will also stop when the class has ended by switching to another Class ID or Classroom.

Once ended, the screen recording will be saved as a .webm file in the location specified in the [Screen Recording Location](https://docs.faronics.com/faronics-insight-docs/using-faronics-insight/the-insight-teacher-console/settings/screen-recording-location).
