# Configure Students

This option allows the Teacher to change the Student name and allow Students to change their display names. This does not alter the computer's actual machine name and just displays an alternative name on the console.

1. Select the Student computer you wish to change the Display Name.
2. Click *Classrooms*.
3. Click *Configure Students*.
4. Enter a new Student Name for the Student Computer.
5. Enable *Allow Student to Edit* if preferred. When enabled, Students will also be able to change the names displayed for their computers. &#x20;
6. Click *Save*.
