# Assistant Teacher

To allow Assistant Teachers to join an existing class, ensure that Insight Connector is installed and that all computers are configured to use it.

Assistant Teachers can request to join any ongoing class by entering the Class ID.

Once approved by the main Teacher, Assistant Teachers can view the class and perform actions available to the main Teacher (for example, Begin a Test etc.) except for the following:

* Settings

  <div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>When joining a class as an Assistant Teacher, the selected Class Settings for the Assistant Teacher will not be applied to the class. </p></div>
* Classroom: Add Students to Classroom, Remove Students from Classroom

  <div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>Assistant Teachers can only Exit Class and not End Class.</p></div>
* Share

  <div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>When transferring files between Students and Assistant Teachers, files will be saved in the location specified in the File Transfer Location under Settings configured for the Assistant Teacher.</p></div>
* Assess: View Activity History, View Question History
* Actions: Change Student Class ID
