# Talk to Student

This feature turns on the microphone of the Teacher and broadcasts the audio to the selected Student.

1. Select the Student to talk to.
2. Click *Actions*.
3. Click *Talk to Student*.
4. The Teacher can turn on the microphone of the selected Student and broadcast the audio to the Teacher’s console. By default, all Students are muted. To listen to the Student, click the orange microphone button.
5. To mute the Student's microphone, click the green microphone icon for the selected Student.
6. To stop talking to the Student, click the orange stop button.
