# Chat

A Student may send a chat message to the Teacher, and chat with other Students in the class according to the configured [Chat Settings](https://docs.faronics.com/faronics-insight-docs/using-faronics-insight/the-insight-teacher-console/settings/chat).

1. Click *Chat*.
2. Select the Teacher from the list.
3. Type the message for the Teacher.
4. Click the *Send* button.
