# Firewallinstellingen en Insight

Faronics Insight 11 maakt gebruik van het WebSocket-protocol via poort 8888/8889/8890 om de apparaten van de docent en de student te laten communiceren. Al het verkeer wordt versleuteld om de gegevens te beveiligen die tussen de student en de docent worden verzonden.

Als de computer van een student rechtstreeks wordt beheerd, wordt voor de koppeling tussen de docent en student een willekeurig geselecteerde poort tussen 10.000 en 20.000 gebruikt.

De installatieprogramma’s van Insight stellen passende regels voor de firewall op in de Windows Defender Firewall, zodat de toepassing goed werkt. Bij externe firewalls moeten de regels mogelijk worden ingesteld om de clients juist te laten rapporteren en om te worden beheerd door Insight Teacher.
