# Insight Connector installeren

Insight Connector wordt ondersteund op Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11 en Windows Server met versie 2019 en nieuwer.

Insight Connector moet worden geïnstalleerd op een systeem waarop Insight Student en Insight Teacher niet worden uitgevoerd.

We raden aan dat Insight Connector op het clientsysteem wordt ingesteld met een statisch IP.

Voor de installatie moeten de programma’s *InsightInstallerConnector.exe* (voor Windows) of *InsightConnector.pkg* (voor Mac) worden uitgevoerd op het systeem met beheerrechten. Er is geen configuratie vereist. Zodra de installatie is voltooid, krijg je een eenvoudige bevestiging te zien.

Na de installatie noteer je het IP-adres en de FQDN of hostnaam van de computer met Insight Connector. Je hebt die informatie namelijk nodig om systemen met Insight Student of Teacher juist in te stellen.

Na installatie wordt Insight Connector op de achtergrond uitgevoerd zonder een statuspictogram op het apparaat van de host.

Insight Connector kan actief zijn op een apparaat dat met een draadloos netwerk is verbonden. We raden echter af om Insight Connector te hosten op een apparaat met een draadloze verbinding.
